LISA Byers

Instructor, CEBP, CETP, CECST

I was born and raised in the Durham region, playing, learning, and working with horses for 50 years.  Starting my first shetland pony when I was only 12yrs old ... bareback!  I couldn't afford a saddle back then.  I was just appreciative to have my pony!!  I worked as a teenager, learned from lessons, and started buying my horses.  I have never looked back.  Each and every horse, along with all the people that have come into my life because of this passion, have taught me something to take with me on my journey.  I enjoyed a modest show career, schooling, AQHA, and Ranch Sorting/Team Penning.  I sorted on my mare until she was 22yrs and she loved it.

After being in the IT Software industry for 30+ yrs ... hey it fed my bad habits ... I have begun a new practice as an equine bodywork practitioner, certified in Equi-Bow, Equi-Tape, Surefoot®Stability Pads, CranioSacralTherapy.  I have experienced the most incredible results over the past couple of years and starting to build up a great portfolio of satisfied clients and their happy, balanced, pain-free horses.  I am always looking to expand my knowledge in effort to gain more skills to help my equine clients. I incorporate T-Touch, Masterson Method, plus others.

I am also a student of Straightness Training. I really love this method to support the newly found balanced postures of our horses.

Equi-Bow protocol has altered my vision on how to work with and help horses become more balanced and moving more functionally correct, which is so important for health and longevity.

As both an Equi-Bow Practioner and an Equi-bow Instructor, I am looking forward to being able to share my knowledge and help others help their horses.
